  • i'm confused... (b6 help)

so which 323 has the first gen b6? is it only the 86-89? or is it some of the 90-94 s too? and on the later style, is it required to relocate the battery when you swap it into the festiva? and yes, i did search. extensively.
    Thanks!
89 L, hopefully returning from the dead soon with a little more power...

first gen has exhaust studs that match the B3 locations. yeah, 86-89 is it for that. can't answer the second q, but you can still use the B3 intake to make it work with less fuss.

ok, well, i am wanting to convert my current car to FI with all the parts (manifolds, wiring, etc.) from a 90 something 323. all i am wondering is am i going to have a engine where i need to relocate the battery? or is it possible that a 90-94 would have the older style engine in it?
        Thanks!

the direct bolt-in B6s come from 86-89 cars. Any other year will require creative solutions for the air inlet, or relocation of the battery.

But there not that much harder to do. You do move the battery. I think they look better with the later model engine.

well the main reason i would probably have to go with the later model is just cause i cannot find any-- i mean ANY-- 86-89 323s around here. it is hard enough to find a 90-94. i found one sitting in somebody's driveway that looks like it hasnt been driven in years, so i'm gonna go see if they want to sell pretty soon.
