I looked for a topic on this, but I haven't found one yet, so I'll start. What kind of preventative measures have you guy's taken on your Festivas? ... That is to say What have you done or are you doing to keep your Festivas in tip top shape? I know of a few things that have been mentioned on here, like using seafoam in the gas tank/carb/etc...to clean out the carbon deposits. To start this off I'll give a few topics and if you have anything else just let us know. For instance: What Is the best way to deal with a little bit of rust on your fenders? What is the best type of oil to use? What is the best car polish to use? ...etc.

re-pack/replace your rear bearings often, use Mobile, use Meguires, Use STP fuel treatment (red bottle) you'll see another 3-4 MPG with it. havn't figured out why yet but i don't really care either hehe. check your plugs periodicaly (platinums not allowed!). generaly keep up on your fluid changes (including brake fluid!!!!).Trees aren't kind to me...

I dont drive some of mine in the winter (Rust is deadly) , I also wont park some unattended. Festivas seem to be ding magnets.sigpic

i use amsoil for racing moto-cross and i beat the hell out of my bike but hey there built to be abused and to be fast you almost have to beat on them...so i run amsoil in my car to and i can tell a difference in performance.Last edited by wf_festiva; 03-08-2009, 12:39 AM.1990 Festiva L sport 26.5k miles
