New member, first Festiva

I just picked up a 92 Festiva GL, all red, with a little spoiler, sunroof, white factory wheels, and a sweet automatic....J/K bout the tranny. I bought it for my girlfriends daughter, who is 16. The car is surprisinly peppy, and clean, the P.O. did reg maintainence, and it shows. I have always been a GM guy, always swearing I would NEVER EVER own a Ford. While I still don't like fords, this has to be one of the funnest little things I have driven in a while. I hear they are close to bullit proof, thats why I got it in the first place. I am going to show the girl how take care of the car, with regular maintainence and such. Anywho, Just wanted to say hi, and I wanted to let everyone know in advance, thanks for any help I will get from this forum, I don't know what I would do without places like these.

You'll find out she has quite the rare car, for one it being a GL, probably a clean one at that. Not to mention the alloys, sunroof, and spoiler. I hope she takes car of it

I'm somewhat partial to red 92 GL Sport models myself although I prefer the 5-speed. As you've already found out these are great little cars to drive, not to mention the great gas mileage.

This is the little Festiva, I am working on the cooling system right now, thats one of the first things I look at when I buy a used car. Just flushing the system, and i believe it should take standard antifreeze, the green stuff eh?
