  • JY road trip!

was up early thins morning and heading south to Indianapolis IN. to a pull a part that i knew had a 91 festiva in it. got there at 8 as they opened and found it. was able to score a GL rear hatch with wiper and a chrome antenna. there wasn't much else left. we headed over to a pic a part and found nothing of any use. my nephew found a set of speakers that he wanted for the 3 bucks each. then we made our way home hitting 6 more yards on the way. its getting hard to find a festiva these days in a yard.

we got pulled over.... but no ticket.

after the last stop we were driving though this little town and i was telling my nephew that the last time i had been though that town there was a red LX up here on the corner, and there it was again. we stopped in and chatted with the owner, he not online but i told him about the site and gave him my name and number. his car was in rough shape, but i let him know i'd but it when he was done with it.

also saw the only car smaller then ours while we where out.

awesome, dude! i love going to the junk yard. i always regret leaving and wishing i had something else i needed. well, something not vital to the operation of my car!

last night about 10 pm i realized that the last friend to barrow my GPS still had it, i had to pick it up at 5 am this morning.

also i forget that i saw at least 3 other festies on the road, one in Indy (red GL), one in Peru IN (teal L), and one more further north (red L).

i'd like that, any day at the junk yards is a pretty good day. unless they are trying to rob you for a part.

I need an A/C crank pulley if anyone ever sees one. You dont have to remove the crank bolt to get it. Just four bolts. 1993 pulley wont work.
