The largest single racing class in the SCCA AND NASA competitions by far. A car does not get that kind of attention and fairly get called a chicks car. But I bet the chicks that do race em can beat the pants off Handyman around a set of corners. They could use more power, but not much handles better out of the box.
i like the earlier ones, when they still had the pop lights. i drove a brand new one a friend of a friend had, loved the way it took corners. but i hate it has no room, well hardly. i bought a new mr2 back in 86, it was also a fun car to drive. but there are times you wish you had more room without having to use the 2nd car. if i had lots of money id have lots of not so useful vehicles. after having a hatchback its hard to give up that functional aspect, least for me. as far as a chick car, buy what you want and enjoy, labels shouldnt be a factor. just make sure it isnt hot pink.

i like them although ill never get 1...becuz a guy i know had 1 and he hooked it up beyond what i could ever do...he spent $5,000 for just the paint job...he had a kit,a nice system and a crap load of engine upgrades....lol...he would laugh at me
A miata with scca prep doesn't say chick car anymore. If it WAS a girl driving such a car wth scca stickers id be scared id fall in love though. They do have a great following. I can't drive them however, too tall.
