  • 2.2 Celica Gt water pump?

Any one ever change one of these? i looked at the motor and it seemed to be pretty straight foward. timing belt driven, other than messing up the timing and being careful with that. any other difficulties.

ive changed the water pump on both my festivas. those were succesful.

    its a 95 Celica gt with i believe a 2.2.

not my car. a friend in need. figured id lend a hand. or two.

my bad, missed that.. Lol make him buy one. I do it whenever i fix my friends cars, i figure its cheaper for me to have them buy their parts and a book and i'll do it for free (or tips) than have a shop do it... And as for libraries, most could be able to request one from another.

IMHO, i don't think it would be much more difficult that the festy, other than the DOHC

i think thats the same motor the camrys had. you will probably have to do most of the work through the wheel well. might want to replace the belt while your in there!

The thing about the belt is the previous owner was changing it when they bought the car, and i guess he didnt bother to change the water pump.

this is a time when i wish i had small girly fingers. LOL
