  • Japanese part suppliers?

I was wondering if anyone has any connections with any performance/part suppliers from japan. Basically what I am trying to do is find out where those tail lights and other stuff that one guy was offering came from. I know they cant be that custom of a product not to have somekind of foreign website where they are sold. Surely more places then Iran has these cool parts.

I figured japan was a good starting point seeing that they usually get the cool oddball stuff that we dont ever see. Maybe I am going in the wrong direction, but I liked those tail lights and I am determined to find out where they originate from.

Any help would be helpful to us all.

Korea and Chile seem to be more likely to have aftermarket parts than Japan. Japan has incentives to force older car models off the road quickly and thus the aftermarket for 10+ year old Festivas is likely very weak as we see with the Tein and Cusco stuff that is no longer in production in Japan.

The car is still under production in Iran (not as a Ford or Kia though), thus the aftermarket parts are more likely to exist there. Also there are plenty of Chinese companies that make replacement parts but they are interested in shipping container sized orders only.

    Good luck.

most parts for these cars aren't coming from Japan any longer. Actually, never really did. Originally, most parts came from Korea. Now, however, most parts are coming from the Philipines or Iran. This is because the Kia Pride was produced in the Philipines/Manilla for several years after they stopped building them in Korea. Sapia Motors in Iran is still building a version of the Pride/121/Festiva.

I wonder how I would go about finding a website if there is one. I found a place in china that was selling replacement lights and stuff but nothing aftermarket. Its not fair that iran only gets the good stuff. I am sure there is way more demand for that kind of stuff here. If only a website or address, anything to find the company that makes them. If we could find the company, then maybe a group buy could happen. I understand that shipping from there may be impossible but we need to atleast find out if its possbile.
