What should I do?????

I asked this in another thread but it kinda got lost in there so I figured I'd start another thread:

We really love the little car (88lx aka cheapstiva) but it seems that it needs more work than it's worth. Maybe I'm wrong but here's the list of what's needed so far.

The front end suspension needs new busings,etc ($100 kit from FMS), the front shocks/struts are worn ($100 from FMS), Gas tank seam is rotten (new gas tank from gastanks.com ($196), Might need an engine rebuild
(? 150+ k on the clock)-burning lots of oil lately-not sure of costs??, possibly new tires as well. If I keep going at this pace, cheapstiva will need to be renamed not-so-cheapstiva...


Should I keep putting money in this car or cut my losses and sell it and buy something else?

fix it there great cars any used car takes money and gas will go back to $4 before you know it

I was thinking the same thing but... it seems as if I'm turning a few hundred dollar cheapstiva into a few thousand dollar expenstiva.

look at how long the car will run though theres a member on here that has over 500k on the clock with a motor change
