Of all the years of working on Festiva's I absolutely can not believe the amount of bs working on my Aspire leads to. Today I reset the timing, was about 4 or so off -bad #1 spark plug wire before, it's running good maybe a little fast. So according the haynes manual I attempted to check the idle speed, bam killed one of the main FI fuse. I've never opened up the fuse block under the hood and to my surprise someone apparently blew the main fuse and couldn't figure out how to replace it so the soldered the fuse together, oh great. Well I've replaced a main fuse on a escort... how hard could it be. Well while in the process of trying to loosen the bolts on the main fuse block, the fuse block disenegrates, literally. So now I have jimmy rigged it in two pieces wired tied to the fender, hard to describe I may take a picture when I get in a better mood, with plenty of black tape. Now I don't feel comfortable driving it because of the short possibility. If thing isn't running right now I may sell I'm getting tired of the damn thing, my festiva's was never this hard to work. It almost compares to working on my GMC s-15. I think I need a beer.
