Definately looks like a nice purchase!!
1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor
1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)
If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Just wanted to say a big ty to Festyboy. I took the iac off, cleaned it out, put it back on, it started and after it warmed up, i adjusted the idle screw on top and its running great now. Ty you sir, i appreciate yours and everybody else's input on this. Wanted to say thank you also to Frestiva for helping me find the IAC.Last edited by milehighbear; 04-13-2009, 06:59 PM.

I can do that. It is on the drivers side of the car, connected to the fuel injection line. It has four hoses connected to it. Two are air tubes, the other two are connected to your water line so you may want to put tub under car to catch anti-freeze. It also has a electrical connection which is blue connected to it. Take all lines off and the connector and it has two 10mm bolts connecting it. Just take carbuerator cleaner or i took engine degreaser and soaked it for about 5 minutes. After you clean it real good, notice that there is an allen screw where the blue connector connects to. After you put it all back on, you can adjust your idle using this little allen screw. Thats all there is too it. Took me about half hour. Dont forget to put antifreeze back in radiatior or in your overflow reservoir. If you want to see what it looks like before you start, go to rockauto.com and go thru the stages of your car and it will show you a picture when you put in Idle Air Control. Good luck

What happened to your hood?
It looks like someone threw acid on it.
Just take it off and have it repainted.
If you want no glare have the paint shop throw Mica in the formulation to flat it out.
Cheers.

ty, i think its a keeper. Don't have to throw it back. The funny part is i bought it for parts for my grey ghost, but im going to drive it now that it runs so good. I think someone put a new speedometer in it thou. I found a paper in it from Big O Tire and gave the odometer reading as 133,000 and it now has only 119,000. But it runs like a top and did pass emissions with good numbers in 2008 so i'll be happy if it passes after i run some cleaner thru injection system.

Well, after cleaning out the IAC and then messing around with everything, got the surge out of the car and took it out on the highway and it runs pretty good. It has a little shake in front end at 65-70 but i think that could be tire balance or alignment. Will check it out. Plus i think they left the thermostat out cause the car after running it for as long as i did, i didn't get no hot air out of defrost when i turned it on. So, either its sticking or there isn't one so that will be my next looky into. I think i'll drive it to work next week after i check it out more. Thanks for your input guys.
