Glad you didn't lose your festiva. I have started moving my vehicles as far as possible from trees when i can, during bad weather.

I love living here. The lots are not big but the whole neighborhood is wooded and quiet. Great place to live but wind can be a dangerous thing around here. I lost the top out of another tree but this Oak was by far the worst of it. Here's the cool thing: At 1:30am the wind woke me up. At 1:45 I began praying about trees coming down and simply asked that they go down in a safe place. At 2:00 that great Oak fell in the ONLY place it could fall without doing damage. Some might say coincidence but not I. That tree should have gone downhill but it didn't. Now that's cool.

To answer your question though there were a ton of trees down all around the neighborhood and Birmingham. We had steady 40 mph winds with gusts up over 60 mph for almost 3 hours.

Glad it didnt damage anything or anyone for that matter.Unless you burn wood, you should call around and see if someone will buy it. Some lumber mills will pay righteous bucks for quality hardwood!

I would love to cut that tree up, shipping would be a killer!
Aspires and Sways all around, Miata B6 installed, KYB G2Rs just installed in front. Wish for coil overs someday.

We have a big wood burning fireplace and I love to use Oak & Hickory. It should be just right for next winter.
