  • anyone want parts?

im thinking of starting a little side biz for when im not at work... i have a friend who is in to welding and is going to school to get his tickets so he can weld things for me i was just wondering what things you guys want/need? i made a quick list of parts that i think maybe you guys may want...

bp or b6t motor mount kits and trans mount kits
headers and turbo maniflods for b3 and b6 maby bp and b6t
strut tower bars and other body strengthening parts like sub frams ect...
    rear disk kit
    short shifter
bolt in roll cage or seat belt bar

thats just some of them... any more ideas? and i dont know how to do any fiberglass work "properly" so please dont ask about body kits or anything like that.

    thanks.
    mike.

Very interested in the following, in the following order:

            1) BP/ G25mr mounts

            2) Rear disc brake kit (escort calipers/rotors?)

            3) Strut tower brace/bar (adjustable)

            4) short shift shifter that fits properly

i have been wanting to make custom mounts since i have access to a welder, but just have not had the space/time to do it

              1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
              1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

ok it sounds like motor mounts and trans mounts are a big hit... i have a great idea for a short shifter too... i think ill start out with the short shifter and get some pics of the first one and then you guys can see it i MAY be getting a bp and selling my b6 or maby keep it for a diffrent car... but if the motor i found is good then ill pick it up and start on those motor mounts

ok i made a quick drawing of that shifter... i didnt have a scaner that works on this comp so... its kind of hadr to see what im trying to say but i think you can grasp the idea...

the dark stuff is the stock festiva stuff and the light stuff is whats gonna be in the kit. it will bolt inbetween the floor and stock shifter plate thing... it will raise the pivot point of the shifter and not have to lower the pivot point on the rod so that it hits your exhaust... easy its gonna have bearings in all the pivot spots so it moves nice and smooth. is this a good idea or should i just make a shifter that fits in the stock hole and make the botom part longer to make the shifts shorter? maby both? one for a nice little upgrade and the "PRO" shifter lol... let me know what you think...

                  thanks.
                  mike.

are you hitting the seat or the leg of the person in the seat? it shouldnt hit the seat... maby you bent it lol...

which ones would you guys want more? the one with all the bearings and frame(the pic i drew), or the one that just sits in the stock hole? the 2nd one is gonna be easy to make and will be cheaper but the 1st one will be shorter shifts and a "better feel" and would give more room down by the exhaust, and if you are running like a 2.5 inch exhaust you need the room.... let me know which one you guys would like to see made... i may end up making both lol...

I think it would be sweet to have a short shifter with the stick that barely sticks out of the floor. LOL

I understand the exact purpose of a short shifter, but I think it would be cool to have one that barely stuck out of the floor.

                        Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone.
