  • I'm in Missouri having a few probs

    Hey all,

Went down to pick up my new new festy today and I'm not sure I feel safe to attempt the trip home. The engine is not Idling well and wont make power below 3 thousand rpm. Also have a noise when I get up to speed I suspect is a wheel bearing. Would an advance in the timing be a good start? Any advice, or better yet a local festiva guru who might have a look at it with me tommorow? I'm near St.Joseph Missouri in a town called Gower. Not sure if anyone is close by but I figured I'd give it a shot. Maybe even buy a few parts off you to get me rolling home.

    Thanks in advance,

          Hey ,

Sorry.. this post was kind of a folow up to my "new fest for me" post so I neglected to put in the vital stats in this post too. Its an 89 carbed 5 spd LX model. Going out to work on it now... wish me luck lol.

            Woohoo!!

Got my new baby home safe-n-sound . I got the motor straightened out for the most part . It was down 1 cylinder but a tune up fixed that. Still no clue what the noise its making at speeds above 10mph is , but it didn't stop me from cruising at 70mph most the way home. Pics to come soon too tired atm lol.

Sounds like wheel bearings. Glad you made it back.
