  • Do you forget to turn off your lights? a fix

    :dj:
Flat battery after leaving the lights on? I have an easy fix and it works really well.

parts required: 1x 12volt relay with normally closed contacts
    1x 12volt buzzer

You can also substitute the relay with a transistor

Simple and reliable, wire the + on the relay to the positive terminal of the coil
    and connect your ground wire

Tap into the park light circuit (don't cut the wire) and connect to one side of the normally closed contact, connect the other normally closed contact to the + on the buzzer.

How it works, ignition switch on relay opens circuit to buzzer, ignition switch off, relay contacts closed and park lights on will sound the buzzer.

been working well for about 7 years :p

Good idea! I noticed when I installed my gauge cluster w/tach out of an L+ that it has a built in headlight buzzer. I assume all the tach clusters have this option.

yes, all of the tach clusters have the head/parking lights "ON" (key off) feature

How is my 1993 camry wired? After key is removed, open the door and lights are out... unless you physically turn the switch back off and on again. 'Womansafe design'. Dont get mad--I've killed batteries on several cars myself, but didn't make distress calls to point myself out. Blame the amp!

wire a relay in to your fuel pump so when you fuel pump is on so will the oil pump... and if you want to get fancy get a timer on the relay so it will stay running for a bit to cool down the turbo after you shut it down

If you decide to wire up the circuit take your + coil feed from the ballast resistor, that is the 12volt side of the resistor
