  • I think i need a wheel alignment

after about 3000 kms that i've put on this car i just noticed this when i got back from Ohiostiva

The insides of both my front tires are being chewed up, so i want to try a DIY alignment and i'm looking for advice from people who have done there own alignments, like any tricks to it etc. but keep in mind i have camber bolts holding the knuckles to struts together, so my camber is adjustable

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

Should be easy with those camber adjustment pieces...

don't touch your camber. take your inner tierods and rotate them 1/8 turn each for added toe in. that's all you should need. if you got any questions, just holler.

i've been talking with a guy at work and he says to take a measuring tape to the front lip of the rim and and the rear to measure the toe, is this the best "at home" way to do an alingment?

for the camber, would i take a level to make sure the rim is straight up and down?

just worry about your camber being even side to side. as for the toe, tape measure is good, but the wear you're showing should only need that 1/8th turn per side to get things right again. the important thing is to keep things even sode to side.

Yeah as for the front that is toe....if you think that tire wear is bad you should take a look at the rear tires on my wifes lowered eclipse

the wear is on both front tires, on the inside of both, they pretty much have the same amount of wear, if the weathers better tomorrow i'll check it out with a measuring tape

i just want to get the alignemnt fixed before i have to start replacing tires, the tires may not be bad right now but they will be soon if i don't fix this
