Head issues is a big concern - but you do have a motor I'd give him 250 - 350 just because of the body

Alright, well I got a big H--L NO!, at 250.00, even with the cash in hand. But he freely admits to having no one else interested, so we'll see. The head is not really an issue, as I have an engine, and a rebuild kit that I ended up with somewhere along the line. Wondering how long it will take him to call with a counter offer. Actually kind of curious how he even ended up with the car. He is as die hard a Chevy man as I have ever known. To the point of walking rather than accepting a ride in a Ford. We'll see.

He'll come back with a counter offer. Just be patient. You'll like the outcome. Good luck!

I got the same response when I lowballed the previous owner of my current Festiva. Sure enough, a few days later, she called back and told me to come get it.

You'll probably get a call from the guy grudgingly accepting your offer.

Also, the automatics aren't all that bad. I wasn't too happy at first with mine being an auto, but after a while it kind of grows on you. They are really peppy and nice for city driving. Plus I get a consistent 36 mpg from mine (probably better with a tuneup).

Interesting. Caller ID says he called today while I was out, but no message. Hmmm, wonder what his counter offer was going to be.

Tim, don't really have a big problem with autos, just miss my little 4 speed.

hey brian, i have a guy about 7 miles from me that has either an 89-90 he dont know. Im going to go take a look at it. Its an auto. He said he was sitting at gas station, and someone rolled back into him and didn't crush the front but pushed it in enough to stop him from opening the hood. The insides is sort of bad, its full of cans and candy wrappers, such cause he drove it for work. If you want, i can take pict and possible get it started if your interested. He said he just wants a decent offer. Would it be worth your while to come to colorado for it.
