$300.00? Jump right on it. Everything you need for a nice swap is there.

Kind of a shame to tear apart such a low mileage car.

Id say get it fix whatevers wrong and sell it for 5x as much or more. Such a low mileage capri should bring well over 1500 especially on the capri board.

Then youll have the money for an Xr2 donor.

Good point. Even if it needs a top, if it's in halfway decent shape it's worth way more than $300.00

i talked to him , and he said nobody has been interested in it. he says its in pretty good shape and does run but the fuel pump is dead and there is one rust hole in the body. also 5spd , he thinks.

I'd fix it and keep it for a while. In the mean time I'd detail it, then sell it.

Then again, for all the parts you'd get, $300.00 is way less than it would cost to find all the parts you would need to do a swap.

Maybe just use the engine and do a BP swap into the Capri?

Engine, transmission (will need custom mounts), front spindles and brakes (the brakes are larger than an Aspire).

There may be more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Base your decision to tear it apart on this. How many have you see lately?

                          You're in Maine?

If I didn't just drop a pile of money on suspension pieces and Aspire parts, I'd come up there and buy it off of you.

I personally don't like the looks of the capri, but that's just my opinion. I say buy it for the swap parts, then see if you can sell what's left to someone who actually likes capris
