  • Enclosed trailer out of gutted 93 Festiva

I have parted out a 93 Festiva and have basically an empty shell with the 2 back tires still in tacked. I hate to have it crushed and was thinking of turning it into a enclosed utility trailer. Maybe cutting off the front end and boxing it in with sheet metal or thin plywood. Does anyone think this is possible or am I a little crazy.

I'll have to hunt for it a bit, but someone on here posted a picture of a really well done trailer made from a Festiva, which I believe was pulled by a Festiva. Need to search. Had the pic on my computer before it crapped out.

I want to do this with two of them. Cut them in half and weld back end to back end.

I am planning to make a towable grill out of the back half of one :-P Maybe room for a mini fridge and small generator...

I wondered if there were any other pictures of festiva trailers?

That would be the one. Had that pic saved, now I can save it again. Thanks. Tho, I think Trexie was thinking something a bit bigger.

The picture is great! I think that I will do it, but I would like to use the whole interior of the car for hauling. It seems like it would pull OK. But I'm not sure about the tong weight.
