  • New Potential Festiva Owner Help

    Hi All!

I am in the market for a Festy and just want to know if there are particular years or models that are considered to be more desirable. Right now I'm looking at a 93 gl for a very fair price that needs just a little tlc. Are the earlier models really any different? I would prefer fuel injected but could go carburated if there is some other sort of benefits. I am familiar with auto repairs and have a '86 civic with a motor swap and suspension that Ive done all the work myself. I'm looking for a new project to spend some time and money on (more time than money) and the Festiva has caught my eye. Any recommendations as far as year / model are greatly appreciated as well as any pointers for what to look out for when buying a Festy.

Thanks in advance, The Good Wolf

Like David said a 93 GL Sport or a 90 LX. Those would possibly be the holy grails of Festivas.

If your looking for a well optioned car the 90 LX has to be the best optioned one from the factory. If your looking for something that is kinda rare ot not as common then the 92-93 Sport model is the car. All Festiva's from 90-93 are pretty much the same mechanically. The 88-89 carbed cars are OK. he 89 auto trans is its own seperate FI system, a 1 year only deal. The 93 GL is a good choice since you can add almost any option you desire to any Fesiva. My car is a 93 GL.
