My father in law has one of those in his garage. Don't think it's even been started in 20 years.

I had a LeCar, sold it to buy the Festiva in 1988.
Was a pretty nice car really....and yes they did ride very nice, typical of a french car. My dad bought it for me and I didn't know how to drive it! It had a 4-speed, and I hadn't learned to drive a manual trans yet! He said, "well, if you want this car, you better learn how". Also it had a manual choke, which was great.

I had an ex girlfriend who had a Chevette with a factory V-6. Think it was a sport edition, or something like that. That little thing would scoot. But the base 4 cylinders were pretty gutless.
Still actually see a few of them on the road around here.

Hmmm, the Chevette never came with a V6. I remember looking into it about 15 years ago, because I thought it would be pretty cool to have a V6 or V8, but it takes alot of fabrication to put one in. They did come with a Diesel, and nowadays they have become a cult favorite amongst the Chevette enthusiasts.

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?
