  • New Fiesta

We all know of the contest Ford had with the new Fiesta. Well on my Vegas trip I ran into one of these cars and its contest winners. A cool bunch from Holllywood,CA. They were on their second mission in the Valley of Fire State Park. They were very impressed with the car, as was I. They said they were pulling in about 40 mpgs with some mixed driving. Not bad for a heavier more powerful Festiva.

I took some pics. You can visit their site at fiestamovement.com/agent84. They are known as the Phashion Army. P.S I'll post pics of trip later......310 pics gotta sort.

I would be tempted if the 2 door diesel version came to the US but I doubt we would get treated so well.

for the past several days, i've been hearing adds for a '10 FESTIVA and i'm thinking "can't people read?" but it's been on several different adds on the radio.

              now i'm getting excited.

Is that "ads" as in advertisements or "adds" as in additions?

And I want to know why car makers are giving us very few 2 doors(and most if not all are sports cars). Do they think everyone has kids and want the easy rear seat access? Frankly if I can only get a Fiesta in a 4 door it will probably push me towards a Yari.

Well if they did end up calling it the Festiva, that would make our cars more retro and cooler by association. :-)

It would make ours the "Classic" model.

Well, I don't really mind the looks of it, but, you said they were from CA, then how did they end up with a Michigan license plate?

I fyou look closely, they're Manufacturer plates. Ford owns the car. The winners have won 'the use of' said car for a predetermined period of time. No matter where the car or winners are located, it will have Michigan Manufacturers plates.
