yes, and I currently have the head off of that engine to correct the issue that resulted from said shot.

Basically, even a 50-shot appears to not be 'safe'.

If you do a wet shot of nitrous it should be safe because it adds fuel to compensate. Running dry shots are far from safe for the motor.

Maybe the motor was that way before the nitrous was used. If you use a wet kit, bigger fuel pump and some colder spark plugs.

Wet or dry, a 50HP shot is pretty stout compared to an engine that only puts out 62 or 82 HP to start with. Someone used to make a sneaky cheater system that was a mild dry shot. It came with a small bottle in a gym bag that you could put behind the seat and connected to a small nozzle that was installed just prior to the MAF. I think the cooling effect of the NOS fooled the MAF into adding more fuel, or maybe it was for Speed Density systems only. It was only like 25HP or so and could be installed and removed in minutes. A 25HP shot would be about right for a mild B6

I doubt it. Several of the top rings are cracked, and there was crossover between cylinders 2 and 3 past the head gasket. You could see the flame swirl pattern in the carbon on the combustion face of the head. One cylinder was more lean than the others. Its either 2 or 3, I can't recall at the moment. That cylinder had a mismatched injector on it, and that cylinder has the most damage, top ring cracked in two places. No damage to the bore, piston or valves, but definate damage. The discoloration of the intake valves also tells me there was too much ignition advance.

and my personal opinion; Nitrous Oxide is for people who don't know how to port a head or pick a cam.

No, that won't yield as much power as "sprayin' it", but it will do safely/durably, and without any refills!
