  • No heat from vents?

Hello, all. first of all great forum. I can tell I'm going to be a pretty active member here. i just picked up an '89 L (sorry no pics yet) automatic with 106xxx on it. The one perplexing problem I'm having is that I have good heat from the defrost and floor but when I switch to vent it goes ambient. Would the blend door somehow interfere with that? Thanks for any replies I get and once again thank you for this forum.
    Mike

OK that might be a problem as I deliver newspapers in the dead of winter. Look for a mechanically sound Festiva for sale around September. lol

^^Every festiva does not blow heat out the dash vents, its the way they were designed

Yeah, the great thing is that the blower circulates the air thru the defrost and floor so quickly, it's not a huge issue.....of course, I live in GA. LOL

if your heater core is clean and you have the dual stage thermastat you should be pumping heat out of the floor vents enough to burn your feet off

Here in South Dakota heat is a winter MUST HAVE. Dual T-stat is the only way to go. 96" of snow last winter.

I'm in New Jersey. I said September because I figured I'd need time to sell. However, since I fixed the AC and auto trans I think I'm gonna keep it. But if I change my mind, this is where I'll post it. Thanks
