Removing seat covers ...Hog ring pliers ?

I went to the parts store because I heard of these but,they tried to sell me a "ring spreader tool".What tool exactly can be used to easily remove seat cover rings and where do I get one ?

Easiest way I know is to cut them with side cutters. You can buy new hog rings and hog ring pliers if you want to re-install the covers. They're cheap.

I also recommend good cutting snips to get the old ones off. I use Knipex mini cutters, that I bought on the Bay. I also prefer GM hog rings.

I used 2 pliers to get them off and bailing wire to put them back on.
