A Question about factory sunroofs

On my way back from Canada a couple weeks ago I stopped at a JY in Northern Idaho and found a black GL (a lot like the one for sale in Atlanta right now) one thing I noticed was the sunroof that said "Ford" on it (first one I've seen) I didn't grab it, but got me wondering how rare and desirable they are.

What's the scoop on them?

It could be a dealer installed roof also, but it does sound like a factory Ford unit. I'd buy it if it was nice.
