They do serve a very special purpose. But, not to adjust headlights. Again, there are only two of them in every car.Comment

they are the bolts for the ignition switch to the column, they are meant to twist the head off at a certain torque to keep you from removing the switch easliy. its a security bolt thing.89 Festiva L Carby 4 Speed... RIP. Evicted and Scrapped. I HATE MY FAMILY

I had to cut slots in mine with a grinder and a hack saw to pull the switch and key tumbler out when i parted out my 96 aspire.89 Festiva L Carby 4 Speed... RIP. Evicted and Scrapped. I HATE MY FAMILY

They are shear bolts. Expensive. $4 each. I needed them to transfer my ignition switch to my tilt steering column.Comment
