You should email him and correct him on a number of problems with that add.

That is the rarest festiva I have ever seen.

Really, how hard is it to pop the hood and count the plug wires?? Makes me wonder about the preventative maint. that was done to that one. Guess the assumption is that the early Metros had 3 cylinders, so the assumption is all small cars of that era have them? On the other hand, if it was actually built in 86, that would make it one of the early ones.

          1988 L - 232K miles Batstiva
          1989 L - 247K miles Slick
          1990 L - 281K miles Orphan Annie
          Let the hoarding begin!!

Okay. I've seen Festivas with the door plate saying they were built in 01/87. Thought it might have been possible for a couple to slip out in late 86.

But then, the truck I just sold was an 89. At least that what it comes back as if you run the vin, but the door plate says it was made in 91. All vins that I could find matched. So, who knows?

I think people get or buy these festivas for cheap then make up a story about moving, or bought a new vehicle to make it sound like the car has been with them for years and how much they "hate to let it go" but if they ever drove the car they should know how many cylinders it has. That is pretty common sense.

"3cyl/auto Very economical over forty miles per gallon. Needs some minor work."

Does minor work mean getting the fourth cylinder going again? lol...I just hope that someone else has taken care of anything under the hood of these Festivas...
