Why isn't the B8 swap more popular?

Get the fms one or the spec stage 1 and no worries. I've heard the fms is the way to go but you have to have your flywheel reworked

I have the fms performance clutch! Sitting in the garage waiting to be installed. Got it brand new for $45 I think. What has to be done to the flywheel to make it work?
Oh, and are you talking about leaving the trans in when you do the swap, or keeping the festiva trans over another one?

Machine the raised part of the flywheel off and drill holes for the bolts and pins. I recommend a macineshop to do this. Keeping the festy trans, so you do not have to make new mounts. I'll buy that clutch if you want to get rid of it. I really need one and cannot get in touch with fms. Anything you need on trade or wanna double your money ?

Hey, I just remembered the kit I bought has the clutch and flywheel, so I shouldn't need to modify anything to make it work right?

Look at the flywheel and see if it has a "step" on it. If so then machine work is needed. Where did you get that kind of deal anyhow? I hav an extra nitrous kit laying around hint hint.

I'll have to look at it next time I'm at my mom's. I'm not exactly sure what all is in the box, I just know it's never been used. I got it from a member on here not too long ago. I figured at that price I had to jump on it!

Can the stock clutch even handle the B8? Or will it be slipping immediately?

stock if it is new will probably handle it but i would recommend something stronger.
