  • Cat Back? Blonde moment!

So I figured I would tell a funny story that happened to me right when i got my festiva. It definitely shows that i'm a blonde! My dad bought it for me a few weeks ago and it needed a new muffler system. So i took it to the shop down the road and they put one on for me. When I got the paper back it said "cat back" on it....and i was so confused by this. I forgot about it though and forgot to ask what that meant.

Then later on that night I started to clean out my car and i noticed all of this animal hair in my car. It was stuck everywhere! i had to steam clean the carpets, vacum them, and use a lint roller to get all of the hair off. I didn't know why there was so much hair in it! Then i started to remember what was on that paper from the garage...."cat back"

Me, being a gullible girl started to jump to conclusions...I thought they found a dead cat in the back of my car! i started to freak out!!! I thought maybe the person who had my car before me was cruel to animals and let his cats die in the back of it! I called my dad and he explained to me that it was a term the guy at the garage used meaning the exhaust system was going from the catalytic converter to the back vent! so that's my story. i hope u enjoyed it!

It was probably dog hair anyway. Cat owners tend to transport their pets in carriers, because the cats get all over the place inside the car, like under the pedals, on top of your head, etc., while some dog owners just let the dog sit in a seat, esp. a big dog in a little car. So if the shop was referring to the pet(s), they would have called it "dog back". Hope this clears it up.

Guilty as charged on the dog in the seat thing. My rottie used to love to ride around in Batstivas back seat. Took up pretty much the whole thing. Funny, nothing in the car ever got stolen.
