  • I did it!

    I fixed that really big dent in the driver side rear! It was the one part of the body I was worried about and now it's gone. Here's a couple of pics.

    Pushed the dent out but that left a bunch of ripples in the sheet metal. I used body filler for the first time and it came out pretty well. I'm very happy!

      Another Iowa member... score!

      That looks like a pretty good job... I'm working on welding in some metal to cover up rust on the rear quarters, and this being the first time welding something on a car its been fun lol, but I hope I can use body filler that good when I get done as it will be my first time using it too.

        JoDan - I really wish I had a welder. I have a golf ball sized hole in the floor that needs some attention. Looks like I'm limited to fiber glass unless there are other options...

          Looks good. I'm still not completely happy with a similar repair i did in the same spot on the passenger side
