  • Just drove a B6t Festy

Bought the B6t fester that was up for sale on the FS section, picked it up yesterday, got it home around midnight last night. Had a bunch of little crap to do today, but this afternoon pulled and cleaned the plugs, cap/rotor, and soaked each cyl with some seafoam. Got it running pretty good, so around 8:30 pm a few friends came over and we started to tackle the clutch problem it was having.

Pulled the trany, turned the clutch plate around (second one I've seen installed backwards, guess it must be confusing?!?), put it back together and took it for a spin!

Still have some little things to do and clean up before it gets inspected, but it pulls pretty good Hoping to build the spare B6t and G25 for installation sometime in the spring.

more updates at some future time... gotta be at work in about 4 hrs :/

Currently 2 teal, one DB, one yellow, and one white. The yellow one was teal a week ago.

Pics? I'm not sure I even took any yet... lol. But yes, its the one in the thread above. I'll get some pics up soon.
The car isn't for me, unfortunately, I'm really tempted to keep it!, I'm doing the work for my boss who is actually buying the car.

Were looking for around 250 from the built engine. Not sure exactly what all will be done to it yet, gotta get the rest of the car up to spec, but even as is it will be fun!!!

I've got some ideas I'm working on for the trany install. Now that I've gotta put in two XR2 tran's I'm looking at building them both up a bit. The biggest thing I want is as close to 0* axle angles as I can get. This will require moving the trany twords the firewall at least another inch... right where the steering rack is. Time to move the steering rack!

HP don't tell the whole story.

                          You double the power.
