Got a little surprise this morning.

What is that? Got the markings of a Timber Rattler, not sure where you're at. Blacksnakes are about all I've stumbled across in a Festy so far.

Dumb thieves go to prison, smart ones go to work for the Government.

Yep rattler, I live in NW Arkansas. This is my daily driver, why snake thought this was a good place to curl up under car in driveway I dont know. Usually find them around parts cars out in field looking for rats or mice.

But if one is bit patient, they most times move on from busy areas, they prefer solitude. I dont tend to kill snakes unless they insist on hanging around near the house. Then it just gets to be too dangerous.

Same here, unless they latch onto my hand in a j/y, I tend to leave them alone. :p
Timber rattlers go through a couple of color phases. Either they look like the one in your pic, or they are almost completely black, or they go through a really awesome looking yellow phase. They are beautiful when they are in the yellow phase.
