  • Got our 88 LX together !!

A few pics of the '88 LX saved after running into a deer ! I had it going a few weeks, thought I would show a few pics. It has a lot of options, and I love it for daily driving !!

Sorry I do not have any pics of before the accident, but the front grill is from an '88 L, the hood from Texas when we went there last May, and the front bumper from an '93 L. Grill and bumper kept both black, satin painted, and touched up a bit on the Oxford white paint of nicks, scratches, but the most of car paint all original still. Mint interior. She runs swell, and has now 214,000 miles ...can you believe it ? Radiator from an '88 L, but the engine and all under the hood is original, fenders too. Just pulled her out straightened somewhat, and put back together, drives straight.
Do you think I like driving her ? Yes sir !!

This car was built 6/87, according to the door jam tag. Is that pretty early ?

Wow, that looks great !! Did you buy new brake/clutch pedal pads ? I wonder why they ever put four speeds in when five speeds were available from the start. Ive got a festiva with the newest mfg date, as far as I know.

I love the brown interior. Was that very common, or only on certain years?
