  • My new Festiva (#2)

    (Pics in my album)
Had this Festiva a month now. Its pretty clean. Owner had put on new fuel pump, new clutch, new wheel bearings all around, all in the month before I bought it. Brought it home, passed inspection, got plates, and have been driving it everyday since. I paid $720 for it. The wiper arms were rusted beyond repair. A pair from a Nissan at pick-n-pull ($15), painted with black trim paint look new. Installed a grey console and dome light from an Escort. Scored some Alum. Alloy rims with black honeycomb centers that are going to look TOUGH when I get them on there.
Sorta look like the old trans-am style, but better.
Just got the hub-centric adaptors yesterday for the wheels. Next - Tires!
And maybe Aspire struts to stiffen it up a bit.
(still trying to figure out how to shrink my pics to fit on here, but was able to get pics in my album). Will post pics of console soon. Really like the look of the console. Gives it a more modern look and like the feel of the escort shift knob better too.

Nice. Looks pretty minty. Well kept. Nice looking Festy. Pics of the wheels please?? Always looking for ideas.

As far as pic resizing goes, I'm lazy, so I just told photobucket to resize everything I upload to where they'll fit on here.

I use a program called Irfanview to resize my photos. It's fairly easy to resize using this program. Plus it's free. Just remember to save the resized photos to a different folder to avoid over writing the originals.

Hey Pyro! Good job! That made it look even better than it is!
I'm lacking on software for photos and stuff. I'm into music recording so i've got a lot of that kinda software, but lacking some stuff that a lot of people have installed on their computers for photos and general stuff.
Thanks all...guess i'll get some pic ware

ps.there is some rust(ahh!) on the rear wheel wells, about 3-4 inches long towards front of well at rocker, soon to be ground away and painted until a correct metal repair is done.

Batstiva, I have added pics of wheels to my album.
If you or anyone can identify them as to what brand, stock, aftermarket,etc... There are markings on backside, letters imbossed on wheel are: A.H.I. mold 2 and two numbers 9HB934 and BB109
They are 4 lug x 4.5 bolt pattern with a 73mm diameter hub hole.
I am needing some kind of center caps for them. The cap hole diameter is 2.750 inches (2 3/4")
Anybody got a clue to what they are?

As first post states: console and dome light from Ford Escort...1996
Made my own bracket for front and used Escorts middle bracket that hold the 2 pcs together and the back was stable, so no bracket in back. Did have to cut up to the seat belt slots with sheet cutter from bottom to get the festivas belt lock thru and a very slight curve cut om bottom for the console to sit without rocking back and forth. Other than that, it went right in.

Thanks for the heads-up. I usually go to one on St. Chas. Rock Road becuz it's a lot closer. But I may have to check out the P&P again.
