  • What's my 55k original mile 88' LX Festiva worth?

What's my 88' LX Festiva woth? It has 55,000 original miles on it now, everything works and it runs great, has al the LX options(A/C, tachometer, rear wiper, power mirrors, 5 speed manual trans, etc.) New tires, clutch, fuel pump, and all the normal tune up parts. I've gotten 41mpg driving 75 on the freeway with the A/C on. I've been thinking about selling it but I don't know what it's worth. Any ideas? I don't think its just another $750 festiva but maybe I'm wrong.

it is very very clean looking...it is def a mint condition festy...but keep in mind that the b6t swapped festys only go for around 1,500$....id say you could probably get $1,000 tops here and maybe $1,500 from the streets...hope this helped....and im not an expert but just going by what i see in here everyday...maybe a vet can give better advice

i just checked kelly blue book 4 you and the private party expected sale price is :

        Condition Value

        Excellent
        $1,150

        Good
        $1,000

        Fair
        $775

the suggested retail value is : Condition Value

        Excellent
        $1,700

Suggested Retail Value Assumes Excellent Condition...
also this is going off of a 89' becuz it doesnt go to 88'....hope this gives you a better insight...but it also comes down to demand....if some1 wants it bad..then they will pay anything

Bluebook is unreal here...check Hemmings and get a better idea. I think it is Hemmings that tells the true value of older cars. I would hope it would be worth about $3000. I wouldn't even THINK of selling the gem!

http://www.hemmings.com/priceguide/check_prices.html Sadly...no data available but you can look up your OTHER cars on here....fun fun fun!!!

Id say between $1500 and $2000 honestly. Is the tray still under the seat? Seems to be a selling point for some unknown reason??????

Unless you're really desperate for the cash, I'd say keep it. IDK how many times I wish I'd kept a car that I sold. There are rumors of gas prices going WAY up in the next few years, due to expected Middle East tensions (war?) btw. Israel and Iran.

Why sell a super-economical car in great shape? Even if you got $2K for example, how much would a good replacement car cost you, or how much would you spend in gas on whatever else you own?

Man, that thing is minty!! I'd probably go 1500-2000 range. Maybe more if it just had those pesky wiper arms.

Seriously, you will be kicking yourself inside of a year if you let that one go.

Questions that come to mind...where are you? Where is car from? How did it manage to be new for twenty one years? Is that the original paint? How long have you had it? What makes you want to get rid of such a nice one?
