  • What website has used engines from junk yards all over the US

    Hi,

I hope this isn't in the wrong section, but I remember somebody linked a really awesome website that showed all the junk yards of the US that you could find preowned engines. I have no idea where to look in the search for this. Thanks for any help!

Thats the one i always use

      1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
      1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

That's the one I use as well. Just be warned they are not the best at updating. Have called about parts listed on there, and found they were sold weeks or even months before I called. But, I've gotten some good stuff that way as well.

I like this one found, some good stuff using it.

Partshotlines.com is the internet's only place to find used auto parts and used car parts from auto salvage yards within seconds - no junk yards here.

Just ran a check to see. Neither of those have Fuel Send Units. But, Tonycash has the hookup!

hotlines brings up someparts different than car-part.com.

I'm still partial to car-part.com because that is what i have always used. Yes some people don't update there sysytems, or frequently don't check into the cars that well as far as options go and such.

Most salvage companies us a system called checkmate to list there parts on car-part. When a part is sold it is suppost to delete it from the car-part.com database. Some time a person can write up a work order, not sell the part to a person. The item gets taken out of car-part.com while the item sits on the return/restock rack.

And that's why sometimes when you call a place for a part, they say "nope, non available" after 2 seconds of telling them what you want. They delete a part out of their system, but it remains in the car-part database.....the program has its flaws.

Thanks for all the help guys! I've decided to do a BP swap instead of a B8, hope I can find a good one nearby.
