  • Into post procrastinated long enough PICS!!

Hello all Im RJ a 21 yr old full time electronics engineering student working 2 jobs - Pizza delivery and terrazzo/marble floor restoration

    My story

I became very interested in saving gas and low emissions naturally caring about the environment being a surfer right when gas was sky high I got motivated and started looking into all the small cars out there geos , tracers and such but a Festivas character open roominess and Mpg were a combo others didn't seem to have . Making my decision on a car I started to look on craigslist eBay classifieds.... nothing. On my way to work one morning I was passing through an intersection and a small car caught my peripherals and I thought no way one right here under my nose. It had only been the second day I was looking for one and I went to work all day thinking about it. I got off and went to the home and found it was an 88lx and left a note at the owners door. I had to go back the next day to try again to contact the owner and they were home a Latin couple that didn't speak much English after debates and figuring things out about the car i came the next day and picked it up for my ripoff price of 700$ I know I rushed it I just wanted a festiva bad ahaha. I brought it home and went through the bucket of bolts and small parts that it came with(just wonderful) the tranny cross member was also hanging and a fuel leak, also I was told a clutch was put in and tranny needed to be bolted back. Anyhow that night figuring out where everything went and doing basic tune up on liquids the car was running at 1:00 am in my garage ! this was only the beginning , I worked on the car for the next month. Things became much easier after finding FF.com and got me more addicted or should I say infected with the festiva sickness. I love my car and get many compliments and looks frequently idk i could write on forever but here are some progression pics I have

Also the couple I despise now completely played me I found out and talked to there neighbor that GAVE THEM THE CAR !! ahhhhhh- he had use it to tow behind his Rv and guy before him lived in Melbourne fl and used as dd for couple months and before that my festy was towed behind a school bus for a company that delivered them based in PA , four guys would drive four buses and tow festy behind one and then pile in the festy and drive back to base.

The first 3 are how i found the car jacked up and i had to rebuild the frame section (both sides) in pic also the cowl section all came out great

Hope to have a swap/build car soon when i find a candidate.

DUDE! All you have to do is hit enter when you get ready to add another pic! Instead on the endless sidescrolling you have anyone with less than a 37 inch screen doing now.

BTW, what's with the little notches in the bottom edge of the front bumper?

that is quite the color change I think it looks sharp though - next time you spray look into a spray on clear to help protect the chipping you mentioned
