  • A slightly different taillight mod

I know most people seem to prefer the smooth tail lights. I tried something different on my Festy. I had a spare set of tail light so ..... what do ya'll think? one is the before and the other is the after shot.

Yes. I used gray metalic. I also trimmed the interior with the same color. Dash,Radio bezel, Pull handles, Arm rest, etc.

Didn't know about vht's night shade. I never heard of it. . Well I do still have the original taillights.......
Will post some before and after interior photos. Later today. I need to reduce them in size first.

                  photos

I have one of the dash, and one from the back when I had the interior out. I removed and painted all the panels in the interior. Got seats from a local JY along with the door panels. I'm not sure if I want to cut them for the speakers. The only thing I haven't painted is the dash. I'm not sure if I want to tackle removing it right now. for those of you that remember, This is the car I had for sale in March/April. Glad I didn't sell it!! Oh and around here they get ill if you run headlight /tail light covers (they are illegal). The night shade might get me a ticket.

We're not allowed covers either, but no one I know has had problems with -shades. Just ask a cop in your area.

Digging the interior!! Nice job, different, but not in your face bright. I like it, good job!!
Did you also paint the steering wheel, or does it just look like it?

Steering wheel hasn't been painted. It's still worn/stock. I'm thinking about getting another one. Just haven't found one that I like. Thanks for all your comments. My original plan was to use Blue but I couldn't find a shade that I liked without it being too bright. I saw the Gray metallic at Walmart and liked it. I plan to stripe it using that color also. Probably next spring.

Bebandit, I really like the "monochrome" interior look of the bezel trim pieces! Looks kinda "understated nice." Or in other words, "classy!" Good job.
