Other than the steelies looking a bit rusty, it's a nice, clean looking car. Look it over carefully, when you take it for a test drive, make sure you go at least 60-65 mph and take note of any shakes/shimmies. Could be as simple as a bad tire or bent rim, or something else. Best of Luck!!! Hope it works out well for you.

Buy! Buy! Buy! I'm jealous! I paid $700 for mine. Its an '88. No rust>
Search for TominMo's post about fuel mileage runs and what he did to the ignition system---getting 60 mpg! I'll try to find and give you a link.

Eh, could be. Guess we'll know for sure when he buys it and posts up better pics. Still, for $400, it's almost a no brainer.

Fail, Guy bailed on me yesterday... It was a 3hour trip to look at it and 1.5 hours in he called and said he couldn't show the car. Was pretty ticked... Got up at 5 am to be there by 9am... I won't be able to see it for a week now cause the guy is at Hunting camp for a week so Fail! But he lives up in the middle of no where I'm hoping The car will be there for next time. Hate when people just bail like that.... What a waste of time and gas...

Went on my last bike ride of the season instead... Cold but the Foliage was awesome! The bike runs strong in the cold too!

Well call first next time and we hope things go better!

If it runs and doesn't need too much work, that's a great price! Even without the snows.

                  The Festy was sold...
He sold it when he was out of town on me...
Very Bummed out about this.. However I had to do something to make myself fell better...

So I ended up with this... Guy wanted this out of his yard, so It drove it off for $300 cash, title in hand.

She's a 98 Legacy Outback 5-speed AWD EJ25 (DOHC 165hp). Head Gaskets starting to leak but I have done these before on a buddy's car and can do the job in a day or two. Comes with studded Nokian Hawks... Solid car. Probably drop my extra set of EJ22 heads on it and pop the compression up to get an extra15-20hp:p (done that too)

So anyway hope you don't mine me kickin' around still but the next closest Festy for sale was 500miles for $800 with 175k miles... The Subi was 15miles...

Thanks for all your input, but couldn't pass up this deal.

I don't know the first thing about Subarus, but if that showed up for $300.00 I'd grab it too!

Good luck with it and here's hoping you get a Festy one day.
