  • Festiva for sale in Mexico...I`m still trying to bring Mextiva with me.

    Hey All,

Some of you members know,my car...B6T/gm25r tranny swap in a 1988 festiva.
I was living in California and moved to Mexico two years ago, I brought my LS2 Datsun 280Z with me, I have had so much fun with the Z, and a VW R32 that I got here in Mexico.
Well i tried bringing the Festiva with me, its hard to legalize a vehicle on this side.
Not long ago I figured that there are some that came in when it was easier....this one says that it was imported from Europe, are there any Festivas in Europe? I didnt know this.
Well its at 18,500 Mexican money, like 1,425 dollars, not bad!!!
I asked him some questions to see if i can registere where im at,,ill take it from there.
If i buy this there might be a big chance that Mextiva comes this way.
if not ill be glad to be a festiva owner and plan something with it.
    link.

    take care.

You need an FM3 to keep the car in Mexico which is a large hassle. If you want a car in Mexico best thing to do is bring one from the states, buy Mexican insurance, about 100 per 6 months, and bring the car and yourself back to the states and leave Mexico for one day every 6 months, the longest time a visa is good for.

I dont want to hassle with permits...to go to the border from where im at is about a thousand dollars round trip..like i said there are some legal festivas, its just hard to find one.ive seen them though.so im going to buy one and bring Mextiva to switch the swap to the one i buy....and I can leave Mextiva as a parts car,I can report an accident and the permit will cancel,so you dont need to bring the car back, its not a bmw so I dont think I would have a problem.

I live close to puerto vallarta.
Mextiva is not for sale..my friend has it, he will sell it back to me only.unless I tell him to sell it somewhere else....that was the agreement..

              thank´s
