  • Festiva vs. Big Truck

I parked next to this monster today at Wal-mart. I've never seen a truck this big before. I thought my Festy was small, but this thing absolutely dwarfs it. Looks a GMC, but oddly enough I couldn't find a model badge on the back. It's a Duramax diesel, 4wd, has a dually and looks like it could crush anything in its path....

    Festiva and the truck:

My 5'7 girlfriend standing next to it:

    Can anyone identify this thing?

tell your girl to stop trying to siphon fuel out of it. festivas aint diesel.
it'll do the 1/8 in 13.7, spin tires, and make all my drunk buddies giggle.

I've seen these used alot in the logging industry - most of the applications for these kind of trucks are ambulances - fire trucks - tow trucks - and other medium duty uses

Ha Ha, this reminds me of when I was a cable guy. Drive to work, get out of a festiva, and into a GMC 4500 Top Kick bucket truck. And try not to run into stuff all day long. :banghead:

My brothers F250 probably sits about as high (maybe a bit taller) as that C4500. The cabs on those things make them look stupid though because of how tall they are.

We'll be taking the welder out of the back in a few weeks and it'll sit about 3" higher in the back.

I used to work around them on a daily basis, not to mention my brother's truck is lifted. 4" body and 4" suspension on a 4x4 base.

                          parking

You could probably park your Festiva in the bed of his truck. You'll probably have to climb out through the window. It's a lot narrower than the empty shopping cart bay in the parking lot at the Home Depot, where I parked the other day. All the other spots near the main entrance were taken!

Yes gotta love the people who drive those as a commuter and they never see a day off the road. Not sayin that guy doesn't take his off road but I feel at least around my town 70% of the big trucks with lift kits and ridiculous tires never even leave the pavement. A total waste if you ask me. Get a truck to put a buncha in the bed, off road, and tow. As far as trucks go...here is my vote.

I like ford trucks as well. Aint got a thing for chevys though.
