For real. A nice Festy with Aspire swap already done? I'd be like "How much?"

I was thinking it would just be a matter of time before Festivas with Aspire swaps and even engine swaps would turn up.

I look for swapped Festivas when ever I see one that has been parked awhile.

Sure will be fun when one of these days I will raise a hood and find a BP or B6t someone did years ago.

Many years ago I was into swapping in V8 engines into 61-67 Ford Econoline Vans and trucks.

Like the Festivas I was always looking out for any I could find.

One day I got a call from a lady that she had a old Econoline truck on the farm. Her husband had passed away and it was his truck.
When I went and checked it out the truck was cover with bushes and briers to the point it couldn't even be seen without you knowing to look in that spot. The truck had been park maybe 12 or so years.

Once I cleared out the grow to view it. I found it had been engine swapped to a V8 and it was also a rare 65 model with the side trim.

Ran into a fellow five or six years later and we got to talking about swapped Econolines. He started telling me about one he had done many years ago and lost track of it once he had sold it. I told him I bought the 65 truck and that it had been parked many years, but was running now.

Another time I was told of a Econoline van for sale parked in a field. Ok I will buy it.

Raised the engine cover and someone had swapped in a 351 V8 engine.

With just a little work both the above were got running and boy was it fun having all that power at the pedal.

My first Festiva was an L model, yet it had the seats and upholstery of an LX.

Even weirder is that I bought the car from the original owners, and they had never modified the car....
