    transmision question

    Hey,
    Got ym festiva back... first ride in it since I purchased it....

    has 75000miles

    1990 automatic
    1st and 2nd are good but take a while it shifts too 3rd
    shifts a little further then the other festivas did

    Transmision flush done next week, you think it will help?

    Sounds like the modulator on the trans is bad.

        75,000 mile Festy that you can drive for $500 bucks.....no way you should have left it there. Modulator is not a big deal. Even if it needs a new tranny it is worth it barring anything catastrophic wrong with it.

          just got a new paint on it.....

          seems low in trans oil just checked that.....

          getting tune up end of week and will try it again

            low tranny fluid will cause shifting problems every time. Might be all it is....75,000 is nothing for the car.

              I kno the milage is very low...... had 3 others

              in kilometers this one has 110500
              my others where 280000kms and 320000kms

              the one with 280 had the original trans but not engine

              I take care of them and these little cars if you do will run for ever
