Aspire wheel bearing rebuild coming! (detailed w/pics!)

I'm working on my '95 Aspire's front wheel bearings and will be posting the results in the "Repair Help" forum. Maybe I can get a sticky added for future reference.

But, pics are being taken at each step and a detailed write-up will come along with it!

This should be completed within a week (as we are working on it as time permits).

I'm going over to V8Festiva's tonight to finish putting the bearings and race back into the hub. Then will be reassembling the car this weekend! If all goes as planned, I should have this write up completed by Sunday evening!

Great that you got up with Sam_1956.

He has used the press much more than I.

I am sure there will be good detailed pictures etc.

I'm uploading pics to my photobucket acct right now. So far... 25 of 137 complete! I won't be posting that many pics I'm sure, but I don't know which ones are better and which are duplicates just yet.

So, if I don't get it completed tonight, I'll get it done ASAP.

I tell ya, doing this project was slow and painful at times, but having a quiet cabin again makes all the world of difference! (and makes it so worth it!)

We did use a press to remove and reinstall the bearings. I couldn't imagine trying to do it with a hammer.... but it I hear it is do-able.

We also did run into a few snags here and there. So I'll be including those details in the write-up too.
