  • What is a Aspire swap worth?

Have seen a few Aspires in the junk yard at times.

    I have pulled a couple.

Cost has been 125.00 to 180.00 depending on the yard.

Have been to a few yards and they wouldn't sell even the rear axle for less than 200.00

Had to past on the yards that charge so much.

    Car was crushed.

This happens a lot at the high priced yards.

If I spend my time pulling a complete swap.
    Pay for it.
    Transport it home.
Then what is a fair asking price for someone to just be able to come by get it already out of the car.

Keep in mind that the the whole swap will be rust free or almost no rust.

This is the rear drum to drum with brake cable & Aspire brake hose.
Front is complete hubs, yokes, rotors & brake calipers, brake hoses and tie rod ends.

Depending on the answer if I decide to save more of the Aspire swaps from the crusher.

Dean your a great guy for trying to save "valuable" parts from the crusher. I'd say all the parts should be in the $250 range, would be fair to me..... but that's my .02, and you'd need a little something for your time

I would even go for $300

1993 Festiva L, aspire swapped, selling parts for a BP+T build.

I've sold a couple aspire swaps for $300, but they were basically everything needed to do the swap

        1988 323 Station Wagon - KLG4 swapped
        1988 323 GT - B6T Powered
2008 Ford Escape - Rollover Survivor

1990 Festiva - First Ever Completed KLZE swap (SOLD)

If no one from the future stops you from doing it, how bad of a decision can it really be?

I've got a rear axle with ebrake cable and complete rear suspension for 20$. I was suppose to take the front too and the sway bar but there was an spindle missing in the front and the guy just want 40$ for all of it. I'm currently rebuilding and painting the rear.

Expect to spend at less that much more rebuilding everything. A complete rebuilt aspire swap will cost you at least $500 not counting your labor if you do it right.

Out where I live people are selling festivas for 1000 and aspires for less! I think its worth it to buy a running destroyed aspire for 500 and use that, if its a 5 speed you can swap to a lower ratio. its a good call for those still stuck with 4-speeds, or running auto;'s.
                        1993 GL 5 speed

I've been harrassing the local yard for their Aspire swap, but I can never get a reply! I know they have two of them there... V8, if I can get those parts, I was gonna pay $200 for 'em at the junkyard... How much would you ask?

The last one I pulled at the LKQ cost me just a few dollars less than 200.00

I would think 75.00 for the labor pulling a swap along with hauling it home is a fair amount added to what the junk yard price is.

Don't have any for sale but can keep a watch.
