  • what do you think its worth?

I have a festiva that i have been thinking about selling. I was wondering what everyone thinks its worth. so here goes

Its a 1990 Ford Festiva LX, 220,000km runs well. Last year i did a transmission swap because i found automatic boring so it has a 5speed transmission with about 240,000km, exedy clutch, new pilot bearing, release bearing. there is about 3000km on the clutch. two years ago i got new rotors pads etc. they have 6000km on them. About 6 months ago i fixed ALL the rust on my car. here is a link to the page.

Discuss enhancing your Festiva or Aspire interior and exterior (including custom paint, bodywork, seats, etc)

the car shifts well and runs well. it does smell like its running a bit rich but i still get 47-52mpg so im not to concerned. It always starts, even at -48 degrees Celsius for 8 hours not plugged in(usually plug it in though). If i were to sell the car i would give my extra car parts along with it. i have two fenders, alternator, radiator, lights, guage cluster and a couple other things.

I think that's about everything. I have no idea what it would be worth so any input is greatly appreciated.

I've bought similar cars from $200, and all the way up to $1K ! It is the "holy grail" of festivas so you shouldn't have a hard time getting rid of it. What are you thinking it is worth, or do you want to get out of it? I already know as much as possible. Just a #

I would like to think that my festiva is worth 1k but i know thats unrealistic. probably 500. i dont think you can really get a saftied car with no rust for under that.

I would ask more then $500 for it, you could probably get closer to a grand. If it was closer I'd buy it.

The 90 LX came with a couple "rare" features that weren't offered on other models... Including the rear black strip under the rear window, a gauge cluster with tach and white text, and "swoopy" power mirrors... Those will help add up the value to any person who understands the Festiva.

And why sell it? I'd hold on to it... I hear gas prices are only expected to go up next year.

+1 for holding onto it, unless you have some desperate financial need to temporarily increase your cash flow. A good car that gets great mileage is a very useful thing, especially in gas does go through the roof.
