  • Miles per gallon... not happy

    Hi
Just calculated my miles per gallon over the weekend on the festiva

Filled it up and marked the milage

then when refilled mark the quantity I put in and took the milage again

subtracted the milage I wrote the first time

    Mine is in Kilometers

did the convertion and did calculated it both kilometer and miles

came down to 26.7 miles per gallon :S

Not good at all...... its a 1990 auto

With my 92 I had did 32 miles per gallon... aint bad but still not what I expected

This one has new cap rotor wires plugs gas filter.....

That does seem low even for an auto. Make sure your timing is good and air pressure in tire's etc. My auto car averages about 32-33 normally. About mid 30's highway driving.

You also might want to make sure the rear brakes are not dragging a little, those e-brake accuator pivots like to seize up.
