Been there, sometimes Ive had to create new cruse words to cover the situation. Maybe it will look better in the morning, drill out those broken bolts and you'll be back in the saddle.

^if you look across the water bypass pipe a few inches up, there is a bolt that goes into the block. (12mm) If you take this out it will allow more movement where you need it. Also it is just 4 bolts to take the tensioner off the motor, this allows access to it alot better. Good luck with it, just take your time and do it right.

tensioner?? im assuming you mean the entire bypass ass. {} had that bolt off to change the oring actually put it back on to try and hold the sucker in place... that sounds like a good idea though to take the whole thing off as long as it doesnt lead to more fixing! cheers

I was talking about the v-belt tensioner, for the a/c belt. If it's really rusty any repair leads to more repairs

meh, got it all back together... had to buy new pump the old threads were so damned up and it was cheaper than a rethread kit. gotta spare wp now once i find a tap and die set to borrow. had to be real careful that bypass though, almost wrecked the threads on the new one too. was thinking of putting the bypass on and then the wp. but it's all good now. everything seems to be running right. and no leaks!thanks for being there, eh

Try just sitting in the car clearing your brain and picturing driving it . . . go ahead work the pedals - Run through the gears . . . ah thats the ticket . . . can you see all of the fun you will have . . . can you hear the engine come alive and snap you through those turns . . . around those anoying drivers? Good now you see it is still worth it - Glad you got it all back together - sometimes when things arent going right you just need to step back and take a bit to remove the extra tension.
