You can incert your key and unlock both doors from the outside

Willie, I believe this kit works 2 ways. One by locking the doors when you turn the key on, and two it has a switch on the dash that you can use to activate the locks. I don't believe it is remote operated. I bought an aftermarket power lock set up that does have remote's on Ebay for less then this kit. This is just a universal Ford power lock set, I don't think it Festiva specific.

The kit has a lock button on each door - see above comment for the key statement - The nice thing about this kit is it gives you the harness with the adaptation plugs - I'll have to get pics later

lol...then what is the use of having it. I can reach my passenger door without even leaning over....lol. If I can not lock/unlock the doors from a distance it would be worthless.

I bought it with the intention of installing a alrarm system - so I wanst worried about the remotes - its actually cheaper to install a alarm system on a car with existing power locks than one with out. - plus when I go to door poppers it will be an eaiser transition

No the 121's had the same exact body lines - that is a decal - the only difference really on the 121's were the lighting, grills, and sometimes bumpers - some had funtops
Interior wise they had alot more options like sliding rear seat - air conditioned glove box in the center of the dash power door accesories

The eBay item was for the B or Switch kit.
By "key" they mean when you turn the key in the lock, the lock opens on the other side at the same time.

The only good thing about the kit, is that it is all Ford connectors.
You would have to marry it with a modern remote system, where the harnesses join under the console.

You will probably need a good terminal tool kit as well so that there are no splices.
