Its a bit of a surprise and then again its not, given the time of year and the economy.

              remote

Too bad the door locks can't do remote control, with a little headlight/taillight flash and a horn toot. I will post the lock installation instructions here later this week after I have them scanned.

              Part No. E9FZ-61218A42-B Switch Activated

I was watching it with less than an hour to bid. I figured it would go up to around $200 in the last few minutes. Unfortunately, I had to take my son to a friend's house and when I got back it was sold..............Oh well, someone got a good deal!

Willie, I believe this kit works 2 ways. One by locking the doors when you turn the key on, and two it has a switch on the dash that you can use to activate the locks. I don't believe it is remote operated. I bought an aftermarket power lock set up that does have remote's on Ebay for less then this kit. This is just a universal Ford power lock set, I don't think it Festiva specific.

lol...then what is the use of having it. I can reach my passenger door without even leaning over....lol. If I can not lock/unlock the doors from a distance it would be worthless.

I would like to have one that would also lock/unlock the hatch with a remote.

                          ______________________________________________

The eBay item was for the B or Switch kit.
By "key" they mean when you turn the key in the lock, the lock opens on the other side at the same time.

The only good thing about the kit, is that it is all Ford connectors.
You would have to marry it with a modern remote system, where the harnesses join under the console.

You will probably need a good terminal tool kit as well so that there are no splices.

                              fender mirrors

I wonder what these mirrors would look like on a Festiva?
